ericsson xperia ray 2.3.4 root

停一停想一想~

unlocked 左就無得 online update software, 要全手動會幾麻煩。無準長期抗爭請三思，同埋 DRM會失效。

1. Unlock Phone

2. flash New version ROM <- FlashTool

now you have stock 2.3.4 without root

3. flash any OLD boot kernel which your root tools supported <- Fastboot

ex: fastboot flash boot boot.img

Download boot.img

4. Reboot Phone

Settings-> Application -> ENABLE Unknown Source

Settings -> Development -> ENABLE USB debugging

5. run root tools to root your phone <- SuperOneClick

5. restore the OLD boot kernel your your NEW version boot kernel <- Fastboot

ex: fastboot flash boot kernel.img

Extract kernel.sin from 2.3.4 ROM by RAR / 7Zip etc…

6. DONE

fastboot mode -> power off with Volume UP then plug the USB cable, BLUE led

flash mode -> power off with Volume Down then plug the USB cable

Hello maxbee, Because of the limited internal storage space, I am considering to root the RAY. Could you share your experience after you got the RAY rooted?

  nothing special, just rooted. The RAY is only a limited budget phone. I won’t expect much from it anyway.
